Past, Present, Future

The Ottawa Hills Foundation was established in 1985 to fill a need for a community organization that promoted continued excellence in our Village and our school system. Since then many community and school projects have benefited from Foundation grants.

The Ottawa Hills Foundation provides the community and schools with an alternative source of funding for special projects and capital improvements.

Gifts to the foundation may be designated to the General Endowment Fund (benefiting the community and schools; School EndowmentView excerpts from "A Promise Kept" Fund (benefiting the schools only); or to a Special Projects Account such as A Promise Kept, the Ottawa Hills history book.

The Foundation's Board of Trustees currently is engaged in establishing a strong financial base for the Foundation. This base will become the principal from which interest income is generated to finance the Foundation's goals.

Funds for the Foundation are raised through various annual appeals and campaigns; special events; and alumni, memorial, and planned gifts.

"The Doors of Ottawa Hills" poster

Mr. Steve Wipfli´s digital art class created this wonderful poster representing doors of Ottawa Hills homes.

You may purchase a copy of this poster for just $20.00 in the main office of the High School. Make checks payable to the Ottawa Hills Foundation.  Proceeds from the sale will help defray the costs of the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit, which was held from June to October 2004, at the point where Indian and Bancroft intersect.

The Foundation purchased this bronze sculpture, and it will remain permanently in the Village.
