Police & Fire Dispatcher

The Village of Ottawa Hills is now accepting applications for the position of part-time Police and Fire Dispatcher. 

 

Desired training and experience:

Minimally, be a high school graduate or G.E.D. equivalency.  College course work preferred.  Available for weekends and holidays.  Must be able to pass a state LEADS test, and be able to perform multiple tasks at once.  Prior dispatch experience preferred but not required.  Prior computer experience and the ability to remain calm under pressure a must.  Physical and Psychological tests are required as well as an extensive background check.

 

Starting wage: $11.77/hr.
