Greetings

Thank you for visiting our website.

For those considering moving to the village, you should find a wealth of information.  Please visit our sponsor section if you are looking for a realtor or other service.  If you have never been to Ottawa Hills, I hope that you will come visit us.  And those of you who already live here will also find new and helpful information within the website - about our community and businesses that can provide the products and services you seek.

I grew up in Ottawa Hills and, like the rest of the class of 1978, I left to go to college.  More than 20 years later, my wife and I found ourselves searching for a place to live that offered excellence in living and in education.  We searched for two years and found very few communities that offered both.  Jobs were available in almost every city in the country.  We chose Ottawa Hills and, if given the chance to choose again, we would stay here.

Our award-winning school system offers a college-preparatory program that results in almost all graduates continuing on to college.  A high percentage of our students are National Honor Society members.  There are ample opportunities to participate and excel in the arts and athletics.

Our village government offers services that rival those found in private gated communities.  Police and fire protection are strong, and these community employees have a sincere desire to look out for village residents.  Streets are clean and an overnight snowfall is often plowed before residents awaken in the morning.

What makes Ottawa Hills unique is our sense of community.  While we are diverse in age, interests, and country of origin, villagers enjoy a camaraderie seldom seen in this age.  Little time passes before new residents enjoy the feeling of belonging to something special.  It shows in the way we maintain our property and treat our neighbors.  We all recognize the value of excellence in education, village government, and village life.

Come join us.

Best Regards,
