The incorporated Village of Ottawa Hills is located in Lucas County, Ohio and is bordered by the City of Toledo and adjacent to Sylvania township. (For GPS buffs, it is specifically located at 41°40′11″N, 83°38′24″W. at an elevation of 610 feet above sea level) Total land area is approximately 1.9 square miles.

As a residential community on the western side of Toledo, it is located within minutes of the University of Toledo, major medical centers, shopping malls, expressways, downtown Toledo, Sylvania and the Arrowhead Park business center in Maumee and less than twenty minutes from Lake Erie.

Its location is highly valued by residents since it is quite easy to get anywhere in northwest Ohio relatively quickly via expressway. Ann Arbor is 45 minutes to the north, Cleveland is 90 minutes to the east, Chicago is about 3.5 hours west and Columbus is 2.5 hours to the south.

Toledo Express Airport (TOL) is about 25 minutes away, Detroit Metro (DTW) is about 45 minutes away. The train station, which Amtrak serves, is about 20 minutes away.
