The WSOS Community Action Commission has received new grant funds to assist residents with removal of up to two ash trees causing a potential threat to structures and play areas.  The program provides matching funds up to 40% of the removal costs per household.  The grant funds are not available for trees removed prior to official approval from WSOS.  Click here to access information and applications.  For additional information please contact Cindy Brookes at 419-334-5016 or at cabrookes@wsos.org.

IMPROVED VILLAGE RESIDENT HANDBOOK 

Thanks to Officer Dana Mullins the Village Resident Handbook has received a much needed update.  With this new format we hope to be able to make more frequent changes.  Click here to see the new handbook.

The Village picks up storm damage limbs at the curb.  Limb pick up is intended for larger limbs that will be chipped, not for twigs that can be easily handled by the resident or lawn crew. 

Please note that the Village will NOT collect limbs from tree trimming or general yard cleanup.  This type of material should be taken to the yard waste disposal site.  Lucas County has provided the following information to assist County residents with a variety of waste disposal information:
