The Ottawa Hills Police Department Communications Office is staffed 24 hours a day / 7 days a week by professional dispatchers who are thoroughly trained in handling emergency and non-emergency incidents.

Dispatchers provide multiple functions including taking calls on the departments three non-emergency lines as well as handling emergency calls on Lucas County's E911 System. The Village of Ottawa Hills uses state-of-the-art computer aided dispatch software to assist in getting police and fire crews to where help is needed.

The Dispatchers duties include handling all radio communications with the Police Department, Fire Department and local Street Maintenance Department. Dispatchers also have various administrative duties and clerical functions that must be accomplished.
